My First Eagle...Well...Sort of

I love golf! They always say that it's that one amazing shot that you are able to make amongst all those hacks and lost balls that keeps you coming back. I mean... it is addictive! Well yesterday while golfing with my father-in-law, Cosme, I hit one those shots.

I was roughly 125 yards out on a par 5 looking at a flag surrounded by water and bunkers. I grabbed my 9-iron, carefully lined up and holed the sucker! It would have been an eagle, had I not previously sliced it into the water TWICE! So I settled for the best par of my life.

I'll be sure to let you know when I get my first ace!

Congratulations to Jon & Anna Gray!!!

Last Saturday (5th) I had the opportunity to be a groomsman in Jon and Anna's wedding. Jon was probably my best friend in high school, and we got into a lot of trouble together...well, at least as much trouble as you can get into in Camden, TN.

The wedding went really well and the reception afterwards was a blast. The only mischief any of us managed this time was when Jon and the rest of us at his bachelor party (7 in total) decided to eat 80+ pieces of bacon for lunch (we even wrapped our hotdogs in bacon). That was the only thing that didn't sit well for us on the big day. Best wishes to Anna & Jon in their future endeavors.

Take any meat and wrap it in bacon and it will taste better!

7 weeks to go!

Can you believe it?! While each day goes by slower and slower, it seems like 7 1/2 months went by in a flash! I'm currently at 33 weeks with 7 weeks to go and for me, that looks like this...

For me, the funniest part of being pregnant is that everyone has an opinion of how I should or shouldn't look at this point. I have heard everything from:

"Wow, you look tiny"

"I thought you were 9 months"

"It looks like you swallowed a basketball" -this one seems to be the favorite

"You carry much bigger/smaller/higher/lower than me"

"You look huge!" -Yes, someone at my work actually called me huge and that was a few months ago AND she's probably twice my size!

So I decided to stop listening to anyone but my amazing doctor- I look exactly as I should at 33 weeks pregnant. And that's that!
