We decided to be a little spontaneous and go to Tennessee to surprise Doug's family. We left Saturday night, drove all night, and arrived in time to surprise them at church. Their reactions were priceless. We called Doug's Nana (Isabelle) ahead of time so she could be around to meet her first great-grandson. She did a good job at keeping a secret.
While here, James got to meet his other great-grandmother (Georgia), as well. He seems to like all the attention and new faces. Not to mention that traveling with him at night made things a lot easier since he slept most of the time.
James got to see some other fun things he wouldn't normally get in Houston, and we've enjoyed visiting with everyone. We loved it so we'd recommend everyone try a little spontaneity every now and then!
