Rain Gutter Bookshelves

So I've been planning to make rain gutter display bookshelves for about a year (a tutorial can be found here). I love that you can see the pictures on the front of each book and that they're front and center instead of in a basket in the corner. It makes James want to read them more! Anyways, we FINALLY got around to it...

We have a third shelf, but not enough children's books to justify putting it up now. That's where you come in! James is 20 months old with a short attention span. What books do you or your kids like? Which ones should we get to fill a third shelf?

June really flew by!

Here's a quick update: Everything is pretty normal for Doug and I. James is growing so fast. He's learning new words every day and is just as cute as ever.

James loves calling Doug on the phone (especially when he's only inches away).

James also "went" in a potty for the first time! No, he's not potty training. I got it just to be ready and he likes sitting on it every now and then.

My family came down to Houston a few weeks ago for a reunion. It's so fun getting everyone together and seeing James play with his cousins!

We swam a lot. James loved playing with the hose on the pool vacuum.

We went to an oil ranch in Hockley.

We visited the R.A. Vines Environmental Science Center in Spring Branch.

We had a blast doing a scavenger hunt at the Memorial Mall.

Good times!
